Meditation & Book Study

The human mind has a natural ability to transform itself thru Meditation practices. Meditation begins with stilling the body thus endeavoring to quiet the mind so that you may, one day, find yourself in joyful silent presence. In this class you will learn to observe the mind thru the practice of meditation and participation in group book study.

We will explore spiritual texts together in book study to support a well-informed home meditation practice. Each book will be read slowly and valuable ideas will be revisited throughout the course of the book study. This makes it easy for you to jump into the book study at any time. This class is open to everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

One-On-One Sessions - In Person, Via Facebook Messenger - Face to Face Or Phone Call

Fee: 1 Hour Session, Donation

The teacher is meant to mirror the self to the student. In this open and receptive space of deep understanding, heartfelt awareness, introspection, study of spiritual text and compassionate support, the seed of realization that the heart of the student is not separate from the heart of the teacher is nourished.

One- on-one sessions do not seek to organize or change the content of the mind. The student and teacher are observing, instead, the quality of the mind. This is meant to open the student to the quality of mind that is meditative, receptive, self compassionate and ultimately no longer attached to the identification with the ā€œIā€ thought, ego.

Living in direct contact with what is happening in this human form is the spiritual path. Together we train the heart mind to be with all things by learning to sit with the full spectrum of circumstances in life.

ā€œWhen you are you, you see things as they are, and you become one with your surroundings.ā€ Suzuki Roshi

The work we do together is absolutely inclusive of all faith traditions.
